GIS SOLUTIONS MANAGER

Job Summary:

Provide technical expertise, consultancy, and support services to the business to enable the adoption or continuous improvements of technologies to meet the objectives of the business. Responsible for setting up the GIS Team and managing its day-day to operations, including organizing, planning, directing and controlling.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Provide technical advice, support, strategy, and promote future possibilities, assisting with directing GIS initiatives within the company.
2) Manage assigned projects, working with project team to ensure projects are on time and within budget. As well as regularly monitoring and reporting to manage risk and provide updates to key stakeholders.
3) Ensure GIS systems are maintained with an integrity that ensures the users have an up to date and efficiently working solution.
4) Provide mentoring and coaching to the GIS Analysts within the team, providing support and peer review as required.
5) Provide timely and professional GIS application support across the business.
6) Evaluating technological advances and promoting usage of appropriate technology and applications among various end-users.
7) Overall project management personnel assigned to GIS Teams.
8) Monitoring the performance of all GIS Team members.
9) Developing and implementing policies and procedures to guide operations.
10) Responsible for all budgetary matters relating to the program specifically, managing all contracts, developing, and tracking all budgets.
